<*dv_0*>15610 Vaughn Road - Brecksville This "Park for All People" preserves 33,000 acres along the Cuyahoga River between Cleveland and Akron. Created in 1974, the park offers year-round activities for all age groups and interests. Popular pastimes include hiking, golfing, bicycling, horseback riding, picnicking, sledding and skiing. The park includes historical structures, canal locks, and wayside exhibits, anchored by the Towpath Trail, which runs alongside the Ohio & Erie Canal. <*dv_1*>Museum and visitor facilities include the Canal Visitors Center, with operating lock demonstrations, and the 1826 Frazee House depicting early settlement in the Western Reserve. The southern half of the park features the historic Virginia Kendall State Park, built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s. Happy Days Visitor Center provides access to the trails within the Virginia Kendall Park. Additional facilities include the Boston Store - a museum devoted to the history of canal boat building, and the Hunt Farm Visitor Center, which displays exhibits about Cuyahoga Valleys agricultural past.
