Diamond Match Company
2nd and Diamond streets - Barberton Built in 1893, the Diamond Match Company complex has a rich history intertwined with the Ohio & Erie Canal. Ohio C. Barber's company had much of its lumber shipped via the canal. Interestingly, the finished matches were considered too dangerous to transport by railroad and were transported by canal boats or wagons.
